Dog Epic
Do you want to experience a race you’ll never forget? Or make memories that will last you through the rest of the year? Want to run four stages that will set your muscles on fire and put a smile on your face? Then register for Dog Epic!
4 stages
Dog Epic starts on Friday and ends on Sunday. The first stage is approximately 4km long and starts at 19:30. The next stage is a bit longer and will have some fast rolling hills as well as a final climb to 800m a.s.l.
Saturday will be completed by a night stage and some party time afterwards. The last stage is the “King's” stage! It spans 12 kilometres and will guide us through some of the surrounding hills. This is really a “never to forget” stage.
The Jizera Mountains have no mountains that are truly steep and that's why they’re very suitable for canicross, as we always try to choose trails that are “dog-friendly”.
Jizera Mountains
Dog Epic takes place in the beautiful mountain landscape of the Jizera Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic. We’ll start, finish, sleep, eat and drink in one single spot. That's why we’ll have plenty of time between stages to share experiences, talk, dance, drink, sing or just have fun together!
Team competition
Canicross is a team sport because you’re always running it with your canine best friend, but Dog Epic is this and more! It's also about meeting new people and a shared passion for dog sports.
That's why Dog Epic also features team competition. Registered athletes can form teams consisting of four athletes. There must be one dog up to 14.9kg and one woman on every team. Results of the team competition are calculated based on the total time of all team members from all four stages. All team members must therefore finish all four stages.
Registration for team competition is free!
